Software Engineer - Windows 10 (Contract Position)

Team: Flight Simulation

Location: Mostly remote with some office visits

With the exciting announcement that Dovetail Games will be bringing a number of its future releases to Windows 10, we are looking to recruit a Software Engineer to join the development team creating an immersive experience for the next generation of Flight Sim.

Responsibilities of a Software Engineer:

  • Prototype and implement new features
  • Overhaul and/or replace existing systems as required
  • Determine technical solutions to creative design requirements
  • Program and be knowledgeable about the technical areas of the game under his/her responsibility
  • Work closely with the Programming team, as well as the Art, Design and Production teams
  • Provide insight to anticipate technical/workflow issues and provide solutions
  • Optimise and maintain the existing code base 

What we look for in a Software Engineer: 

  • Excellent C++
  • Ideally Windows 10 programming experience
  • Strong Maths & 3D Algebra
  • Visual Studio development and debugging
  • Strong experience with Windows programming
  • Ideally Gameplay and 3D Graphics programming
  • Excellent diagnostics
  • Software Engineering or related degree, or equivalent professional experience
